Dr. Daniel Brustein received his Bachelor’s Degree in Arts & Sciences and his Master of Science in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Cincinnati. After working as a field industrial hygienist for Federal OSHA in Cleveland and for the United Rubber Workers’ International Union in Akron he began medical school at Case Western Reserve University, graduating with Honors in 1987. He completed Internal Medicine training at the University Hospitals/Veterans Administration residency program and he is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Industrial Hygiene.
Dr. Brustein has practiced occupational medicine since 1990 and has served as Medical Director of the occupational medicine programs at University MedNet, MetroHealth Medical Center and Medina General Hospital. Dr. Brustein is a member of the American College of Physicians and of the American Industrial Hygiene Association and he is a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
Dr. Brustein is married to Joan Trey, a physician at MetroHealth. They have two adult sons, Joshua and Nathan. In his spare time, Dr. Brustein enjoys running, hiking and cabinetmaking.
